Pausa is a (professional) break. A chance to slow down. A temporary shared retirement. The necessary rest to breath and grow. A silence between two verses.

 

Pausa is a project of Pablo Berástegui, which is accompanied on this experience by Pedro Elizo Curto, they offer all those who need a break a place to get away and time to gain perspective.

 

Pausa is funded by the organizers themselves, whom they are also in "pausa" (having a break) this year. They count with the complicity of Joaquim and Sara.

 

Pausa # 1 begins in January 2014 and their first stop is a typical Portuguese Quinta, between Alentejo and Algarve, located a short distance from Odeceixe, a small Portuguese parrish in Aljezur Council and located at the foot of a mountain but a few kilometers from the beach, in the heart of the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina.

 

Those who seek a break, can submit an application and qualify for a Pausa of four weeks, extendable two more weeks depending on availability.

 

Those selected will have a separate apartment, with everything needed for living (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room own) and work (desk, internet access,...), in a nice house in the foothills of the mountains, with terraces Ceixe overlooking the river, and attached to the house of the hosts (see pictures here). Also we will provide you with a bicycle to explore the area.

 

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be offered by the hosts of the program, free of charge, in exchange for good moments of conversation.
